Mexican Rodeo On August 30, 2009

Umatilla Sage Riders 

Hosted their FIRST

Mexican Rodeo.

Of course I had my doubts,

AND.......

I am very pleased that it went very well.

It was quite well organized.

Lots of things to do.

Everyone was very pleasant.

There was only one incident and that was at the very end,

and their security people took care of it right away.

Our grounds were transformed!

Everyone of the horses that showed up danced.

They had a pig catching game.

Just little kids were allowed. 

Whoever caught the pig, got to keep it.

The two boys that got pigs.

It was really a cute event.

Then they had mutton bustin!

I think these kids had way more fun.

Note they do not have a ton of gear to weight them down.

Umatilla City Ambulance was there through the bull riding.

Instead of taking your gal out in a fancy car, 

These guys take their gals for a ride on their horse!

Now HOW MUCH FUN IS THIS!

The only complaint I have is:

I only wish their music had different tempos.

All of it sounded the same all night long.

But it was all good.
